Welcome to the Children’s Ministry page of the East-Central Africa Division (ECD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, where we are dedicated to nurturing the faith of our youngest members. With the largest population of Adventists in our region being young people, we recognize the critical importance of ministering to them and guiding them in the ways of God from an early age.

At ECD, we are committed to equipping our children with the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. As Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) reminds us, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” It is our mission to instill a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.

We believe in empowering children to actively participate in mission work. They are encouraged to reach out to their peers, show kindness, and share the gospel to lead others to Christ. By involving children in these meaningful activities, we cultivate a spirit of service and evangelism from a young age.

Our initiatives include:

  • Kids in Discipleship Program: Focused on nurturing children in their personal walk with Jesus through Bible study, prayer, and discipleship activities.
  • Adventist Clubs: We offer various clubs such as Pathfinders and Adventurers, designed to engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote spiritual growth and community service. These clubs include:
    • Adventurers Clubs: Classes include Little lamb (4), Early Bird (5), Busy Bee (6), Sunbeam (7), Builder (8), Helping Hand (9)
    • Pathfinders Clubs: Classes include Friend (10), Companion (11), Explorer (12), Ranger (13), Voyager (14), Guide (15)

These clubs provide a platform for children to learn practical skills, develop leadership abilities, and build lifelong friendships centered on Christian principles.

We invite parents, guardians, church leaders, and all members of our community to join us in nurturing the faith of our children. Together, let us inspire the next generation to live for Christ and share His love with others.
