The Information Technology department of the East Central Africa Division is dedicated to supporting all departments in leveraging technology to fulfill their mandates effectively. Our primary goal is to ensure seamless operations and enhance efficiency across the division.
Network Stability and Infrastructure: We prioritize maintaining a stable and robust network infrastructure. This includes regular monitoring, troubleshooting, and upgrading of network hardware and software to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted connectivity for all divisional operations.
Resource Management and Updates: The IT department meticulously manages and updates all technological resources within the division. This involves regular audits of hardware and software to ensure they are current and meet the operational needs of each department. We implement proactive measures to secure systems and data, adhering to industry best practices and standards.
Collaboration with Union IT Directors: Collaboration with Union IT directors is integral to our strategy. We work closely to align technological initiatives with divisional and global objectives, fostering synergy and coherence in mission-critical projects and initiatives.
Partnerships and Support: In partnership with the media department, we provide comprehensive IT support during events and campaigns. This includes technical setup, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth operation of digital and multimedia resources. By offering ongoing support and training, we empower staff to effectively utilize computerized resources and maximize productivity.
Development of Church-Sponsored Solutions: Working closely with the Office of the GC Associate Treasurer in charge of technology, we facilitate the development and deployment of church-sponsored solutions. These solutions are designed to meet the specific needs of our diverse ministries and enhance their outreach and operational capabilities.
Training and Capacity Building: The IT department conducts regular staff training sessions to enhance proficiency in the use of technological tools and platforms. This ensures that all staff members are equipped with the necessary skills to leverage technology effectively in their respective roles.
Continuous Improvement: We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation in our IT services. This includes evaluating emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for enhancement and efficiency gains across the division.
