The role of the church administration, and especially that of the president, is to provide general spiritual and administrative guidance for the functioning of the East Central Africa Division offices and all of its subsidiary organizational units and institutions. The presidential leadership role also includes staff development and strategic planning. He prepares and presides over executive committee meetings, and he counsels the officers of unions, institutions, and divisional departments. The Presidents Office offers Strategic leadership and supervision to each department and ministry which is a part of the East Central Division.

Oversight and service in six key areas: church policies, missions, human relations, administrative operations, special projects/initiatives, and resources.

Administrative and financial leadership of the East-Central Africa Division, as well as a trustee and steward of the funds received.
